in the home stretch...

the semester is almost over, and i couldn't be more ready! this week has been crazy finishing up with classes and doing final performances. on tuesday alone i watched 15 rogers and hammerstein scenes (and performed in one!), 32 monologues, and 32 songs. michael is visiting one last time before the summer and for brunch i made these delightfully shaped waffles. the recipe is so tasty (it smells like cake batter) and is from smitten kitchen. looking at the waffles makes me a little homesick for texas though. after babysitting the little one, michael and i went to whitman's. seriously amazing burgers. as it was michael's first time, we got the juicy lucy. i also recommend the upstate burger or the pb & b burger (peanut butter and bacon, crazy, i know, but so delicious).
please note the pimiento cheese stuffed patty. so wonderful. we also got the organic homemade chips which are a personal favorite. and that's saying something because i am not a fan of potato chips. if you live in the city, or are coming to visit, whitman's is a must!
i'm off to bed. i'll be back with more soon.
love!
