fill in the blank friday

1. the most selfless thing i've ever done (well, this week at least) was set a humane mouse trap. the poor little guy didn't know it was my apartment! and, i am happy to say that he had been released back into the wild.

2. when it comes to working out i count the walking that is required in new york city. that, and running after the little one every day! that's about all the working out i do.

3. a woman should always be a lady.

4. i wish i could knit and then i'd make millions of cozy socks and blankets.

5. a best friend is not always right.

6. i can't get enough of nighttime tea on my stoop.

7. this weekend i am going to see a show and enjoy the fall weather. oh, and write a paper on contemporary asian american theatre...be jealous...

anyone have exciting plans for the weekend? hope everyone has a good one!

  1. Come on down to NC and I'll teach you how to knit! Not so jealous of your plans for writing this weekend. Love your photos in your banner - great photography!

  2. I think sitting on the stoop in the evenings is one of the things I miss most about living in a city. I have a small porch here in the country, but listening to the crickets just isn't the same as the lights and buzz of nightlife.

  3. I've always wanted to learn how to knit, my Nana promised she would teach me this Winter. So excited!

I'm going to a winery for lunch tomorrow, looking forward to it :). Hope you have a fantastic weekend!

  4. I'm so happy the humane mouse trap worked for you! I had a bugger in my last apartment, and I tried using the humane one for about three weeks. I was terrified to snap his head off, but he was too dang smart to get in the humane one. About two days after I set up the "real" one, Ralph (he was there long enough to earn a name) left on his own. He must have seen my beheading machine and thought, "Uh oh, this gal means business."

  5. Night time tea is the best.

My favorite tea is by Good Earth. It's the original (decaff) spiced flavor...a must try :)

  6. I learned a basic knit stitch years ago and am currently working on a big blanket!

I love walking around NYC for hours at a time...that's plenty of exercise itself!
