hello march!

hello lovelies! oh my goodness, i can't believe how quickly the past two weeks have flown by! midterms snuck up on me and proceeded to consume every moment of every day. i am so glad that they are done. i am so glad those were the last midterms i will (probably) ever take. now, just one more set of finals! thanks to all the extra studying, i now have a list of fifteen wedding related tasks that piled up and am trying to knock them all out this weekend. the biggest task, which is almost complete, are the save the dates! mailing those guys off certainly makes this whole wedding thing feel very real. only a little more than five months. (:
yesterday, michael and i arrived in nashville! it is so nice to spend some time with my family. it's also really nice to go out to eat. all the other poor college kids out there know what i'm talking about--there is nothing better than having your parents take you out to dinner! last night we ate at this adorable little place called mack & kate's cafe. i don't have any pictures, so you'll just have to take my word for it--adorable! today we went to loveless cafe. it's more than just a restaurant, it's an experience. the wait is about 45 minutes if you call ahead and 2 hours if you put your name on the list when you get there. while you wait, there are a handful of tiny shops that you can peak your head into while you pass the time.
how sweet are the aprons in the window? those would be so cute for a little ranch house.
once you get in the food is totally worth the wait. the menus is a list of southern favorites such as fried chicken and country fried steak. they had a green bean casserole that was out of this world. i could eat green bean casserole for every single meal and never get tired of it!
on our way home we stopped by the arches bridge. you can see the green starting to creep in as spring approaches. it is so wonderful to be in such wide open spaces. new york can be stifling at times and i have been needing some fresh air.
i hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend!

I'm kinda obsessed with blasting pictures frames all over the house, so I love that first picture! :)

  3. Never been to Nashville, I would like to go since I'm not too far. And there's nothing like home style southern cooking, yum.
