thankful.

thanksgiving break was just what i needed: a country get-a-way, a house full of family, and piles of food. it was great motivation to come back to new york and finish up this semester as quickly as possible! we spent most of our break eating and hanging out and i didn't take many pictures. on saturday we visited a place i had never been before: the hermitage. the weather was perfect and their christmas shop, stocked with apple cider and hot chocolate, made it the perfect fall treat.

here i got this heavenly pistachio honey ice cream sandwich. i would like to add that the outer layers were macaroons. perfection. 

i've been doing homework ever since. 

i'm back in new york now trying to navigate the piles of homework i have left and still save some time for christmas preparations. ahh! i can't wait for christmas break for several reasons. the first being that i get to go to texas! i haven't been back since march and i miss it like crazy. the second reason is that i will be spending some quiet days with my family in tennessee. being in nashville is so relaxing and i am missing our family movie nights. last but not least, michael and i will get to spend at least half of january together in texas, tennesse and new york. this is the most we've ever seen each other over winter break.
