in honor of my first day back at school, i wanted to share this redesign for teachers. it was created by designers at hyperakt for studio 360. studio 360 has redesigned different popular symbols over the past couple years. last year, a teacher wrote to them and said, "i have been teaching for 15-plus years and have enough of what i deem 'apple crapple' to last me a lifetime." in response, hyperakt wanted to create a design without the classic 'teacher' symbols--apples, school houses, letters, numbers. they also wanted it to be appealing to children and adults alike. i think they did a lovely job!
